Our projects
"Stuff the Stocking" Food Program &
Crisis Care Packages
While STOBO's largest program is education sponsorship, we still feel it is important to reach out to the poverty-stricken families and rural communities. We have been so blessed in the United States, and by comparison, a little goes a long way in Nicaragua.
For a donation of only $10, a stocking stuffed with food staples can be distributed to a needy family during our mission trips. Stockings contain food products such as rice, sugar, and beans.
Particularly during the recent civil unrest and conflict happening in the country, we are providing Crisis Care Packages that include 15 pounds of rice, 10 pounds of sugar, 10 pounds of beans, 2 liters of oil and 1 pound of salt for a donation of $20. With the political turmoil plaguing the country, prices for basic necessities have been increasing. While we are unable to visit, we are still able to work with our ministry partners in Nicaragua to provide these necessities during a difficult time.
