Sponsor a Student
When our founder, Jennifer Chappell, traveled to the poverty-stricken country of Nicaragua, she experienced firsthand how desperate the people are for their children to attend school and how impossible it seems for most families. She returned home asking the Lord to show her what was next for her ministry, and the answer came quickly. She would help give these children an opportunity to escape poverty by finding sponsors for their education.
The government in Nicaragua requires each child to have a uniform, pencil, and paper before stepping into a classroom. Most people in Nicaragua are so poor that they cannot afford to buy food for their families, which means funding their children's education is simply not an option.
Save Them One by One searches for children who are in need of education but whose family lacks the resources required. Once found, these children are enrolled in our program and we begin looking for people like you who might be able to sponsor their education.
A simple one-time gift of $25 will provide a school uniform, shoes, and needed school supplies, and allow a child to attend school for an entire year!
Children who were once destined to grow up as their parents did - illiterate and poor - will receive an education that will change their lives forever! By sponsoring a child, you can help to break the cycle of poverty that plagues the people of Nicaragua, and cultivate hope in the heart of the poorest country in Central America and second poorest in the Western Hemisphere.
