Our Projects

Equip a Pastor

A few years ago, Rev. Rob Blake and his family joined us on one of our mission trips and kick-started a new project for our ministry.  He collaborated with other pastors here in the US and together they came up with 5 valuable resources that would help a Nicaraguan pastor in his ministry.  As the rest of the country is in poverty, pastors in Nicaragua also struggle financially, and may not have the means to purchase resources like these.

It's easy for an average American pastor to walk into a bookstore or hop online and order resources he needs to study and prepare sermons.  However, this is not the case for pastors in Nicaragua.  We wanted to help!

Pastor Rob developed a curriculum to teach some of the Nicaraguan ministers how to use the materials we would be giving them.  He discipled and encouraged them not only to study well for themselves, but to teach others how to do so as well.  This led the Equip-a-Pastor program to grow organically as one pastor would teach another, and so on.

Now, although Rev. Blake has moved out of state and is no longer close enough to be involved with our ministry in-person, the movement from pastor to pastor continues in Nicaragua.  As they continue to teach and encourage one another, we continue to provide the resources that allow them to learn and study deeper.
